So first off let me just say I know that all the variables going into this will change the price I.e. I reserved a rental car in California with Enterprise. The price was $9.99/day because of a weekend deal . When I checked in at the counter the agent told me that I needed to either provide proof of FULL COVERAGE insurance or purchase their insurance (which would raise my daily rate from $9.99 to $40)!! Getting car insurance?

what difference does it make getting car insurance at the end of the month or waiting until the 1st? i dont get it. i didnt think it mattered but i;m getting told to wait until the 1st? :S

In NC, do you have to be added to the insurance to get the license?

Also, do you have to pay a single yearly fee for insurance or is there a monthly rate?

Why would my auto insurance increase?

The insurance on my 09 Mitsubishi Lancer went up over $100 since last year. I did not make any claims, was in any accidedents or anything like that. I did not move. I did not have anything done to the car which could cause the insurance to increase. So why would my insurance increase? I am over 40 yrs old and ever since I've been driving and with all the cars I've owned, most of them new, I never had an insurance increase on the same vehicle. It always decreased from year to year on the same vehicle. Never went up. I want to get some opinions here first and maybe get a legitimate explanation before I call my insurance agent and ask why they increase my rate or look to find a different insurer.

Getting a New Car, Insurance question?

Hey, so i'm going to be getting a 2011 toyota yaris and i was wondering how much the insurance on it would be, i'm 19 years old.

What's the cheapest insurance I can get possible? I'm 18 in California, just received my license?

Isimply cannot afford $1000/year insurance. I dislike insurance companies anyway considering they hire peoplem to come up with EXCUSES not to give you your money (so why the hell am I paying them every year? ) So I just want the most basic EXCUSE to drive possible. Is there anyway to get insurance for like $400 a year? I've been saving up for the past 5 months to buy a car, studying for my license, and I really cannot wait any longer. I need to drive now. I live in Los angeles where it's practically impossible to get around without a car... I'm starting college and more work hours waiting isn't an option. Thank you.

Do you think if I worked at McDonalds I could be able to afford a mustang GT and pay for car insurance?

I want to buy a mustang GT. I prefer a 99-01 year. Which would probably cost me about 400-500 a month paying car payments and car insurance. I'm only 16 years old. But I plan on getting a job when i'm 18 and buying a car. I also need to get my GED, which I start taking classes for that next fall.. because I dropped out of school for specific reasons I wont talk about here. If I work 6 hours a day and earn 7.40 an hour for 5 days a week, thats about 880 bucks a month. Plus my parents could help me out a little. I would use all the money I get from work for the car payment, insurance and gas. Would I have enough money?
